"AUSTRALIANS would face an $863 hike in annual household costs when a price is put on carbon pollution, new Treasury modelling predicts.Advice to Treasurer Wayne Swan reveals a $30 a tonne carbon price would lift household costs by $16.60 a week, before any compensation is offered".
Don't get me wrong, I want to stop pollution and I acknowledge that everything we do releases it, but I believe there is a better solution available than to tax everyday people (to recover from the unnecessary ZOMG GLOBAL FINANCIAL CRISIS!! spending spree)

ReplyDeleteIn my country there are several taxes placed on fuel so it is very expensive. Am I not the only who thinks that the many of the taxes are just a form of stealing?
